You will experience the trip of a lifetime aboard the Tasman Venture and with four clear viewing decks and the vessel's speed you will get to see more of the whales and get to spend more time with them too.

The Tasman Venture is a stable New Wave Catamaran that's fully air-conditioned for your comfort. Not only do you have the great viewing platforms around the outside of the vessel but you can also watch the whales at play beneath the surface because the Tasman Venture is fitted with underwater viewing windows.

Tasman Venture provides all transfers to and from your accommodation as well as morning and afternoon tea. You also receive a free "Close Encounters" Whale DVD with each booking.

The Tasman Venture sails twice a day, seven days a week during the whale watching season.

Shayla Whale Watch Experience

Join "Shayla" on a Whale Adventure Cruise you will never forget. The unique design of the boat allows you to "get as close to the whales as you can get".

Shayla is a purpose built 10.5m sailing catamaran with 360 degree viewing of these magnificent creatures. We only take 24 passengers or less with a very relaxed itinerary, which does allow for swimming and boom-netting (weather and tide permitting).

Awesome sailing fun means getting there is half the fun!! We have expert commentary and onboard music with a relaxing ambience that Shayla is renowned for. There are also opportunities to see dolphins, turtles, dugongs or even a dingo on Fraser Island. Our cruise is well priced with full day fun at half day prices!

Our courtesy bus can pick you up from your accommodation in Hervey Bay and drop you back when the day is over. We sail at 8am in whale season and return at 4pm so you really do get a full day out in the bay with the incredible humpback whales that will give you an experience you will never forget.

Blue Dolphin Whale Watching

You get a totally different perspective when you sail out into the pristine waters of Hervey Bay on a yacht. We might be the smallest vessel in the whale watching fleet in Hervey Bay but we're the only one that can put your right alongside these giant mammals so that you can look them in the eye.

You will find that even though we're small you still have plenty of room to move ... there are shaded areas where you can sit ... and when a whale comes alongside you will get a real appreciation of just what majestic creatures the humpback whales really are.

Peter, the skipper of Blue Dolphin, has 20 years experience with marine mammals including 14 years as a marine mammal trainer at Seaworld. Peter has been involved in the rescue of many stranded marine creatures so you're sailing with someone who really understands the creatures that you will be seeing.
